What happens in case of a weather emergency or other types of emergencies?

Posted On: 10/4/2016 2:10 PM

In case of weather or other types of emergencies, the schools of the Archdiocese of Miami will follow the lead of their county’s public schools with regard to closing.  Depending on local conditions, each school administration will make its own decision to reopen if it is safe to do so.

Cardinal Gibbons will contact parents and students in the following ways: email, voice message, updates on school website, Cardinal Gibbons mobile app and Twitter feed  @CGHSFL. SMS or push notifications will only be sent in the event of an emergency.

Students may download the weather apps from the CATALOG to their iPad: Max Tracker and Hurricane Tracker.
