Awareness Weeks

The students of CGHS are given the opportunity to reach beyond the world of academics and experience Vocations Awareness Week, Respect Life Week, AIDS Awareness Week and Missions Week. These programs are carried out in the theology classes, and students are given the opportunity to listen to guest speakers, as well as engage in special projects.

Charity Drives

Cardinal Gibbons assists various organizations that help the needy in the community. Among other projects, students contribute to annual Thanksgiving and Christmas drives. Other drives have been set up to assist the Red Cross, The American Cancer Society, The United Way and the victims of 911.


Prevention Seminars

Mr. Charles Miller, the Director of Prevention Seminars, speaks to the freshman and junior classes each year about important life decisions. His ten years of experience makes Mr. Miller uniquely qualified to address teen issues, which include: respect for authority, drug and alcohol abuse, deteriorating morals, coping skills, sexual abstinence, healthy relationships and developing student accountability.
